Developer - Immersive & Location Based Attractions

We’re looking for a developer with a range of experience to join this London-based team. Developers are primarily responsible for assisting in devising and implementing both internal prototypes, and delivering high-quality products and projects for both IP and brand clients across a range of mediums on cutting-edge hardware; VR, AR, real-time animation, virtual production, and other exciting platforms!

The opportunity would perfectly suit a candidate who wants to work across a broad spectrum of opportunities, being enthusiastic about applying skills with modern game/real-time engines for a variety of applications from AR to themed attractions! A passion for developing experiences that successfully blend hardware technologies such as motion capture and projected media, driven by Unreal Engine is a plus!

  • Develop clean, optimised high and low-level code in engine within the designed framework

  • Identify technical issues and solve complex problems with innovative solutions

  • Develop and test code, fix bugs, and profile and optimise code to an agreed design strategy

  • Document and peer review technical designs with other engineers

  • Research innovative ideas to improve efficiency and satisfy technical requirements, especially when it comes to convergence areas involving the usage of game engines to produce non-interactive content.

  • Work with Producers, technical and creative leads, to provide input for the budgeting process for technical development/engine elements of a production

Job requirements

Required Skill Set:

  • 3+ Years of experience in game/engine development

  • Experience with XR hardware platform(s)

  • Strong experience with C++, C#

  • Strong experience with Epic’s Unreal Engine

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Software architecture, mathematics and physics understanding

  • Understanding of game development, real-time rendering and game engines

Desirable Skills & Attributes:

  • Professional exposure to Unity or other modern game engine(s)

  • Positive attitude towards learning and sharing

  • Deadline oriented; able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to solve problems as they arise and remain calm in high-pressure situations

  • Experience with Unreal’s graphics pipeline

  • Working knowledge of video encoding/decoding (FFMPEG, h.264/5 etc.)
