Framestore has offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Montreal and Mumbai together with Method offices in Vancouver & Melbourne.

The Production Accountant (Film & Episodic) will work directly with the Finance & Production teams providing financial reporting across film & episodic projects. They will be responsible for the preparation of regular film project budgets, billings and regular reporting.

Other responsibilities will include;

  • Prepare and maintain rolling budgets for film projects calculating profitability by month to the end of the project

  • Update budgets as required by producers

  • Provide monthly/weekly reporting to senior management & crewing teams

  • Run scenarios for producers, providing detailed analysis of opportunities & risks

  • Prepare costings for any project extensions

  • Manage billings on each project in accordance with the contract schedule

  • Together with Producers ensure change orders are correctly reported

  • Ensure all client recharges or extras are billed in a timely manner

  • Reconcile billed amount to total revenue recognised on each project

  • Work with Framestore finance team to complete Month End reconciliations by project

  • Maintain forecast of outsourcing requirements

  • Raise purchase orders for producer’s approval as needed

  • Attend regular meetings with producers to discuss their projects

  • Attend regular meetings with senior management to report on project performance

  • Assist in preparing reports required for annual audit

  • Working with the Production Senior Manager to improve reporting and workflow efficiencies

  • Ad hoc responsibilities as required

Job requirements

  • Experience working in film or episodic production

  • Strong analysis skills

  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to create & work in complex files

  • Deadline oriented, accurate and strong attention to detail

  • Good communication skills

  • Highly committed, able to work autonomously and as part of a team

  • Positive attitude towards learning & sharing

  • Ability to work to tight/fluctuating timetables and accounting deadlines
