We are looking for a talented Scrum Master come Tester to join our dynamic technical LABS team at Framestore. As a Scrum Master, you'll be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment. You’ll be reporting to the Senior Testing Engineer and Senior Product Manager of Framestore Labs, working on world-class large-scale, digital signage and data visualisations and experiential projects with clients around the globe. This role is a hybrid role that involves split responsibilities dependent on workload, however, we anticipate on average that the split will look like 60% time spent working with the team and Scrum Master tasks, and 40% of the role will be testing. This role would ideally suit someone with prior Scrum leadership experience, a passion for sprint planning, and investing in team coaching and development.

This is a 6 month fixed-term contract position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating closely with other team members.

  • Gathering, updating, or verifying requirement specifications.

  • Creating test scripts based on Jira user stories.

  • Executing all necessary test cycles as per the test plan and document results.

  • Designing and developing automation scripts as needed.

  • Identifying bugs and creating JIRA tickets to report and monitor/communicate resolution.

  • Documenting the process and sharing it with relevant teams.

  • Applying quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle

  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel

You will be doing:

  • Provisioning and configuring AWS IoT Core services

  • Maintaining the CDK deployments and modifications

  • Provisioning and updating AWS resources

  • Configuring resource security policies and roles

  • Maintaining REST APIs (backend)

  • Developing and supporting existing lambda functions

  • Taking responsibilities of cross-product DynamoDB database modeling

  • Building and deploying software releases

  • Taking a cloud-first architecture approach

  • Involved in sprint planning, estimation, prioritisation, and retrospectives

Job requirements

Required Skill Set:

  • 2 to 3 years of testing experience in a relevant area is essential

  • Experience writing test plans and technical documentation

  • Experience in Functional testing.

  • Experience with JIRA and Xray Test Management Tools

  • A sharp eye for detail

  • High standard documentation skill

  • A good analytical mind

  • The ability to work under pressure

  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for software development or experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team that was applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.

Desired Skill Set:

  • First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)

  • Kanban Practitioner

  • ISTQB certification

  • University degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Work experience with software testing

Framestore staff have the option to split their work time between home and the office, though some office attendance will be expected for certain team meetings, so the candidate will need to be able to commute into the London office easily.
