Oscar, Emmy and BAFTA award-winning Visual Effects house Framestore is looking for a talented and focused Systems Support person to join our Los Angeles Systems team.   If you think you will enjoy working with a local team that has a global presence to support the creation of the best visual effects in Commercials, AR, VR Dark rides, Movies and TV, then Framestore awaits you!

The Systems team works in a fast-paced environment that focuses on the day to day support of our render farm, Linux, Windows and Apple workstations and applications used by our business operations and production pipelines.   This role is hybrid, working remote but with the ability to spend time in the studio as needed, with the expectation of on-site support a few days per week in the future.  It is ideal for someone in their early career who has a keen interest in being involved in a creative environment and wants a future within Systems Operations, Engineering and DevOps. 

Responsibilities:

Systems Support will be part of the Level 1 team.  They are the first responders to incidents and requests supporting the Framestore Los Angeles Studio and assisting other studios worldwide as needed.

• First line of support for all incidents and requests using JIRA service desk

• Workstation configuration support (hardware and software)

• Monitors a variety of physical and logical systems

• Diagnose and replace hardware components

• Responsible for managing assets and loan equipment, including relocation and provisioning

• Interacting with artists and producers on a daily basis

• Produce and update documentation using Confluence

• Be part of the on-call rotation to provide coverage for various projects.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in a customer facing role.

• Strong self-guided problem solving skills

• Hands-on hardware experience; builds, upgrades, repair.

• Basic scripting language (powershell, bash, python)

• A commitment to teamwork

• Proven ability to adapt and work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable Skills:

• OS (Redhat based, Windows and OSX) and application support and deployment

• Active Directory management

• Configuration Management (Puppet, Ansible)

• Windows Systems administration and deployment (WDS, SCCM/MDT, WSUS)

• Networking (Layer1, Layer2)

Framestore staff have the option to split their work time between home and the office, though some office attendance will be expected for certain team meetings, so the candidate will need to be able to commute into Culver City easily.
