Framestore is interested in hearing from Freelance Senior level Houdini TDs with generalist skills to work with our LA Studio predominantly across Realtime & Immersive projects.
Projects to be worked upon will involve procedural modeling, procedural UVs, texturing, lighting and lookdev. Understanding the process and implications for delivery and QC of assets for Realtime execution in Unity is greatly desired
This would be for a project based temporary employment agreement and is open to remote applicants.
A thorough working knowledge of Houdini & Unity
An excellent working knowledge of Arnold
Knowledge & understanding of CG related mathematics & rendering implementation/optimization
Solid understanding of geometry/UV manipulation in Houdini
Ability to manage complex scenes and large data sets
Scripting experience - VEX and Python. Knowledge of C++, C# and the HDK a plus
Familiarity with pipeline issues and Linux
High level ability to produce great looking imagery across a range of styles, but especially how to achieve a high level of realism within Realtime engines
Working knowledge of at least one compositing application (ideally Nuke) and a solid understanding of the compositing process
Basic knowledge of Maya (advanced knowledge considered a plus)
Strong communication skills are critical. Must be able to work within a team, taking direction and exercising attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment
Must be self-motivated, a team player and organized
Ability to problem solve and predict potential problems with assigned tasks
Able and willing to follow direction and openly collaborate with others
California Employees: Pay Range: $600 - $900 per day
