The Head of Global Infrastructure will work closely with the Facilities and Systems teams among others with the goal of maintaining smooth infrastructure operations. This is a management role that requires the leadership and guidance of Global infrastructure standards across all Framestore offices and data centers as well as hands-on engineering

Responsibilities include:

• Infrastructure best practices at all Framestore sites including offices in London, Montreal, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Mumbai, Melbourne, and Vancouver

• Infrastructure capacity planning for space, weight, cooling, and electrical loads

• Design, implement and maintain reliable and secure infrastructure

• Provide strategic direction and oversight of network, power, cooling, and data center services

• The creation and maintenance of clear up to date technical infrastructure documentation

• Interaction with other trades and consultants to specify and supervise planning & installations

• Occasional site travel to global offices will be required

• Design and deploy cost-effective, resilient, with redundant systems in place where practical.

• Designing infrastructure systems that focused on resiliency and uptime

• Plan and oversee the infrastructure to support large scale hardware rollouts on-prem server rooms and datacenters

• Liaise with vendors, analyse, and negotiate hardware and service contracts

• Producing tenders and selection processes on returns

• Creation and maintenance of internal planning documents and budgets.

• Ability to project manage Infrastructure tasks as part of construction and expansion projects

• Oversight of electrical distribution systems across multiple countries

• Oversight of mechanical cooling and ventilation systems

• Oversight of network infrastructure deployments - passive copper and fiber cable systems

• Oversight of CCTV and Access control systems hardware deployments

• Leading and developing a small team of Infrastructure engineers in London and Montreal

Desired skills

• Extensive Infrastructure and Engineering experience is required

• Experience managing people and a team

• Working experience with AutoCAD LT drawing package software

• Working experience with Google or Microsoft office packages

• Experience with Project Management tools like smartsheets or MS project

• Ability to clearly communicate technical information to technical and non-technical people

• A pragmatic approach with a clear eye on cost vs value.

• Ability to design systems without critical points of failure
