We are looking for a passionate and forward thinking Systems Support Administrator to join the London team. It's a challenging and ever changing, technology led, environment so we need a quick learner who is a natural problem solver.


Description:


The Systems team is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting the technology infrastructure. This includes, but not limited to, storage, networking, workstations, cloud, virtualisation and rendering. It also covers the various software elements around both the core operating system(s) and the application layer components that are deployed upon that framework. We invest time into training and mentoring, there are great opportunities to progress into Systems Administrator or DevOps Engineer roles within the team.


Responsibilities:


The Systems Support Administrator will be part of the Level 1 team. They are the first responders to incidents and requests supporting all Framestore divisions.


  • Frontend support for all incidents and requests using JIRA service desk
  • Workstation configuration support (hardware and software)
  • Diagnose and replace hardware components
  • Workstation relocation and provisioning
  • Responsible for managing assets and loan equipment
  • Interacting with artists on a daily basis
  • Produce and update documentation using Confluence


They will eventually work in a shift rota, as well as potentially moving to on-call (on a call rotation) providing out of hours support in case of a show stopping issue.

  • Workstation hardware builds
  • Redhat based OS support
  • Windows OS support
  • OS and applications deployments
  • Active Directory management
  • Basic scripting language (powershell, bash, python)
  • Strong self-guided problem solving skills
  • A commitment to teamwork
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Desirable Skills:

  • Configuration Management (Puppet, Ansible)
  • Windows Systems administration and deployment (WDS, SCCM, WSUS)
  • Networking (Layer2, Layer3 including dynamic routing and VPN tunnels)
  • VMWare and/or virtual server environment administration
  • VOIP Knowledge (PBX, SIP)
