Layout Lead TD- Advertising, Episodic, Immersive
The Integrated Advertising division at Framestore in London is looking for a Layout Lead TD to join our team.
Integrated Advertising covers a wide range of projects; from traditional commercials, to theme park rides, VR and TV series projects.
The Layout Lead TD is responsible for leading Layout Artists, creating the foundation of shots, ensuring technical correctness of Cameras and Environments, with cinematography principles, shot continuity, shot composition, and integration of VFX plates for use in downstream CG departments.
Image planes / 3D cards
3D Projections (for set extension)
Multiple-plate integration (such as transitioning between plates)
Working knowledge of 2D and 3D compositing techniques in Nuke.
Strong knowledge of cinematography principles, shot continuity, shot composition, and integration of VFX plates.
Ability to create innovative ideas to solve unique problems.
Able to efficiently meet deadlines.
Ability to lead and motivate a team including training junior artists.
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively to colleagues at all levels.
Accurately assessing how long layout shots will take to complete by artists at different levels and communicating to Production.
Recognising the training needs of artists in the team. Organising and delivering training sessions and mentoring junior staff.
Assign team members for tasks based on key skills, strengths and weaknesses.
Working with Production as well as other leads and artists to ensure they have the resources they need to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Responsible for quality control of your work, all aspects of work produced by the team.
Collaborate with other discipline artists to successfully deliver the best creative content.
Experience with SideFX Houdini (especially for procedural modelling tasks).
Experience creating Virtual Production maps in Unreal Engine or similar engines
Experience with Stereoscopic concepts and/or projects (live action or full CG).
Experience using a Linux desktop, and terminal for productivity.
Python scripting skills.
Experience of working with motion capture (Mo-Cap) data.
