We are looking for an Unreal Engine developer with a wide range of experience and/or specialisms to join our London-based team. As part of this role, you would have the unique opportunity to be involved in both the creation and implementation of internal prototypes, as well as the enhancement and delivery of high-quality products and projects for both IP and brand clients across a range of mediums on cutting-edge hardware; including VR, AR, real-time animation and other exciting emerging platforms!
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on a variety of applications across everything from AR to themed attractions. Previous experience developing experiences that successfully blend physical and virtual worlds with a mix of complementary hardware and software solutions would be a huge advantage.
What you’ll do
Work closely with our creative and production teams to build innovative experiences for a variety of clients
Design, program, test, deploy and maintain software/hardware solutions to meet project needs
Write and document high-quality, efficient code for utilisation within new and ongoing projects
Use your professional experience to mentor junior members of the team
Create engine plugins and tools to improve team workflows and efficiency
Rapid prototyping to assist the creative team with making quick decisions
What we’re looking for:
2+ Years of demonstrable industry experience writing high-quality C++ code in a game engine context
Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine
Understanding of software architecture principles and best practice
Good working knowledge of VCS (Perforce preferred)
You might also have:
Previous professional experience working on shipped Unreal Engine products
Experience authoring plugins for Unreal Engine
Good knowledge of Python
Experience working with immersive technologies (AR/VR)
Working knowledge of Unity
Degree in Computer Science or Games Programming
