The Role

The Visual Effects Associate Producer in Mumbai is responsible for the localized management of VFX projects. This includes internal crew planning, maintaining a comprehensive overview of the scheduling, and ensuring the successful delivery of all assigned work within the Mumbai studio.

While reporting directly to the Head of Production in Mumbai you will work closely with the assigned VFX Producer and/or VFX Executive Producer from the originating site, the Supervision team, and various other important internal and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage client milestone schedules in collaboration with Producers and EPs from the originating site, ensuring alignment between upstream and downstream requirements.

  • Collaborate with the originating site Producer/Executive Producer on resource allocations and requests to ensure the crew plan adheres to turnover schedules and client milestone delivery strategies.

  • Manage and work closely with internal Production Teams (Line Producers and Coordinators) to ensure all quotas and delivery targets are met efficiently.

  • Oversee performance, productivity, and timekeeping in liaison with relevant stakeholders.

  • Mentor/Guide internal Production Teams in proactively identifying & flagging delivery bottlenecks, and implement best practices and processes to enhance efficiency and smooth workflow delivery.

  • Collaborate with the Resources team and HoDs to plan appropriate crewing and utilisation.

  • Maintain continuous liaison with the originating site, providing regular written and verbal reports on project health for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Attend bidding sessions with VFX Supervisors, HoDs, and Leads to understand the proposed methodologies, ensuring the efficiency of the project schedules.


Job requirements

Essential Skills:

  • Overall VFX experience of 12+ years.

  • Thorough understanding of live-action VFX workflows

  • Previous credited experience as a VFX Producer or similar role

  • Highly organised with first-class time/project management skills

  • Excellent client and crew management skills

  • Proven ability to prioritise conflicting tasks

  • Ability to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work within a team towards a common goal

  • Experienced with Shotgun/Shot Grid usage

Desired Skills:

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite packages
