About the role

This is a new role within our London team. As a CG Supervisor, you'll be a pivotal creative and technical leader, helping us expand our capability across a diverse range of high-end content in Advertising, Television, and Immersive projects.

Reporting to the Heads of CG, you'll take charge of the CG elements for your own projects while inspiring and managing our talented artist teams. You’re someone who relishes the opportunity to figure out collaboratively how to do difficult things, ensuring we always deliver work that sets the industry benchmark

What you’ll do

  • Partner with our creative team on bidding and pitching, joining client meetings to help secure exciting new projects.

  • Oversee the technical aspects of VFX projects, including on-set supervision when needed, and lead shot look development for complex sequences.

  • Work closely with production teams on planning and partner with our 2D department to create the highest quality images efficiently.

  • Create high-level, complex shots yourself, contributing directly to the work while supporting other supervisors as needed.

  • Guide and support our CG artists, providing the mentorship they need to reach their full potential while troubleshooting any technical challenges that arise.

Job requirements

  • Over 8 years of experience in VFX across film, advertising, and episodic content, with a thorough understanding of modern pipelines.

  • Advanced knowledge of lighting techniques and shot look development, with professional experience in Maya, Houdini, and Nuke.

  • A solid understanding of rendering packages like Arnold, V-Ray, or Mantra, and familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.

  • A proven track record of managing artist teams and a collaborative work ethic that thrives under the pressure of deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical needs into clear creative goals.

You might also have

  • Experience with Python or Mel scripting to help streamline workflows.

  • Familiarity with modelling, texturing, camera tracking, and FX.
