Framestore’s Preproduction Services (FPS) division enables filmmakers and showrunners to make early-stage, creative decisions that can then guide their entire production. We have over a hundred creatives, technologists and producers working across concept art, previsualisation, virtual production, in-camera VFX, techvis and postvis.

The Role

The Framestore Preproduction Crewing Assistant is responsible for supporting the London-based management team in the day-to-day operations of Framestore’s Preproduction division. This is a fast-paced and varied support role, ensuring that the department runs smoothly.

The successful candidate will work closely with leadership and other key stakeholders, helping coordinate meetings, track team changes, and manage sensitive information discreetly. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a high-pressure crewing or administrative support position, ideally within a creative industry. Please note this is a 6-month contract with potential for extension, the successful candidate will be required to work in the studio 2 days minimum a week so should be able to comfortably commute regularly to our central London studio. Please also note that VISAs and relocation are not possible for this role.

What you’ll do:

  • Update and maintain crewing tools, databases and internal department documents

  • Support new starter onboarding (e.g. machine needs, training schedules, internal records)

  • Diary management for senior management and department leads

  • Facilitate local and global meetings, including diary coordination and room/video bookings

  • Liaise with global support staff to ensure smooth meeting logistics

  • Arrange senior management travel (occasionally department travel when required)

  • Organise meetings, appraisals, client screenings and events

  • Answer and redirect calls/emails

  • Assist with department review planning, holiday tracking and ad hoc crewing needs

  • Produce and circulate team newsletter

  • Help run regular department production meetings

  • Liaise with production teams on crewing updates and inform team members of their project allocations

  • Provide occasional personal support to management when needed

  • Work with HR, finance, systems, desktop and VFX teams as required

Job requirements

  • Previous experience in a high-volume support or crewing role

  • Comfortable working in a global, fast-paced environment

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

  • Discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative

  • A strong interest in animation, VFX, or emerging creative technologies
