Framestore's 2025 Launchpad Internship offers talented and creative individuals a chance to gain hands-on experience at one of Europe’s leading creative studios. Interns will learn through studio work, presentations, a personal project, and informal meetups while collaborating on real projects with experienced artists and technologists. Previous interns have contributed to shows like Tom & Jerry, His Dark Materials, and Fantastic Beasts.

Working within Framestore’s Film division. The Visual Development Artist generates 2D or CG concepts, either static or in motion, to help develop and convey creative ideas on characters, props, vehicles, environments, or fx. The concepts produced should be generated from the available elements for a shot/asset (renders, models, etc) when possible, in the aim of accelerating the creative process and getting approval from the internal VFX supervisor or external client. Visdev Artists will support their concept work by gathering relevant references from existing media.

Job requirements

  • Creative eye and passion for Visual Development.

  • Good experience in either CG Generalist VFX or 2D Concept Art.

  • Software knowledge (Blender, Houdini, Photoshop, Nuke). We are using Blender as our main 3D software.

  • Experience in illustration/2D/architecture/product design.

  • Knowledge of shortcuts available to create powerful visuals under pressure and short turnaround times.

  • Good working knowledge of cinematography, photography, principles of colour and composition.

  • Ability to take direction and feedback from a supervisor.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You must be entering the final year of your degree or have graduated in the past 12 months

  • You must be a UK resident and have a current resident, student or graduate VISA for the duration of the internship

  • You must be available from 7th July - 30th August 2025
