About the role
This is a new role within our team. Texture Artists play a key role in bringing our CG creatures and hard-surface models to life by creating a wide range of high-quality texture maps for use in production.
Working closely with Modelling, Look Development, and Environment teams, they help deliver photo-real assets for high-end visual effects projects.
In this role, Texture Artists will:
Create high-quality texture maps appropriate to your skill level and meet the needs of the project.
Collaborate with the CG Supervisor and Lead Texture/Lookdev Artists to achieve the required look for characters and hard-surface assets.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with Lookdev, Modelling, Environment, and Production teams.
Perform quality checks on texture maps before publishing to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Work within agreed schedules and deadlines while maintaining the highest standards.
Keep Production and Leads informed of progress, challenges, and delivery timelines.
Contribute to the team by sharing workflow tips, techniques, and reference materials.
Stay current with new tools, software, and emerging technology relevant to the discipline.
