Virtual Production (VP) Producer

  • On-site, Hybrid
    • London, Greater London, United Kingdom
  • Pre-Production Services

Job description

Please note this position is hybrid and requires days in our London studio as well as potential travel to London film studios. We also cannot provide VISAs or UK relocation for this position, as it is a 12-month Maternity cover contract role, so please only apply if you are already able to work in the UK.

Framestore’s Preproduction Services division enables filmmakers and showrunners to make early-stage, creative decisions that can then guide their entire production. We have over a hundred creatives, technologists and producers working across concept art, previsualisation, virtual production, in-camera VFX, techvis and postvis.

Framestore combines talent and technology to bring life to everything we create. Driven by creativity and inspired by the future, we set out every day to reframe the possible.

The Role

As our Virtual Production (VP) Producer, you’ll be at the heart of our most ambitious projects, overseeing the entire lifecycle of our visualisation projects. You'll work closely with our Capture and VP Leads to help push the next version of the VFX pipeline. You’ll join the team at a time when virtual production is rapidly changing how stories are told. This role is about more than just managing schedules; you’ll be a key partner to our creative leads, helping them navigate everything from motion capture and virtual cameras to complex LED volume shoots. You’ll handle the successful bidding and management of work, and help bridge the gap between traditional filmmaking and real-time technology, ensuring our technical solutions always serve the creative vision and meet our highest standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee the end-to-end production lifecycle, managing complex workflows across pre-production and real-time delivery

  • Manage project P&L and budgets to ensure we deliver every show on target

  • Partner with creative leads to define workflows that bridge traditional VFX and real-time production

  • Lead the hiring of specialised talent and manage the development of your team

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining strong client relationships

Job requirements

Essential Experience:

  • Significant experience as a VP, VFX, or Visualisation Producer in a high-end studio

  • A proven track record in on-set motion capture or virtual production management

  • Direct experience managing real-time artists and technical teams within game engine environments

  • The ability to lead both technical developers and artists while balancing stability with excellence

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for stakeholders

You might also have:

  • A solid understanding of visualisation workflows across Previs and Postvis

  • Experience leading technical pitches and presenting to high-profile clients

  • Proficiency with resource management tools and Microsoft Excel to track crew and capacity

  • A proactive mindset and a keen eye for improving operational efficiencies

  • A real passion for high-quality output and pushing the boundaries of what is possible
