About the role
We are seeking a Payroll Officer to manage the end-to-end payroll function for our Australian business, supporting approximately 350 employees. This role is available on a full-time basis or as a 4-day week. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our payroll operations while leading significant projects, including the transition to Pay Day Super and the implementation of a new payroll system.
Reporting to the HR Manager and working closely with Finance, you’ll manage the end-to-end cycle in partnership with our outsourced provider, ensuring that every one of our team members is paid accurately, on time, and in full compliance with Australian law
What you’ll do
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 350 employees, ensuring accuracy.
Ensure total legislative compliance across Australian payroll, including taxation, record-keeping, Pay Day Super implementation, and monthly/annual State-based Payroll Tax lodgements.
Act as the primary lead for the selection and rollout of a new payroll system, overseeing data migration and process design while maintaining data hygiene within the HRIS (Hibob).
Oversee leave liability and financial reporting by reconciling entitlements, calculating State-based Long Service Leave, and providing data for FBT and workers' compensation renewals.
Support the full employee lifecycle by administering employment contracts, onboarding paperwork, salary adjustments, and internal transfers alongside the HR team.
Deliver data-driven insights by maintaining HR metrics on trends, exit data, and operational reports.
